Pittsburgh Chemical Solutions and Nalco Water, an Ecolab Company have partnered to become the exclusive specialty chemical supplier of THERMOPHASE™ for the North American Power industry.

THERMOPHASE™ is a patented nanotechnology-based treatment applied periodically to heat transfer surfaces and cooling water systems to improve heat transfer performance and reduce chronic fouling. 

THERMOPHASE™ will be offered as part of Nalco Water’s Thermal Performance Advantage Program, which combines 3D TRASAR ™ Technology with Connected Chemistry™ capabilities, Ecolab® CondenserIQ™ and Ecolab® Water Quality IQ™ performance monitoring, THERMOPHASE™ treatment, and on-site application expertise as an integrated approach designed to improve thermal efficiency, generation output and heat transfer performance across condensers, cooling systems and heat exchangers. Together, the partnership helps power customers take a comprehensive, data-driven approach to thermal performance optimization.

The partnership will allow significant expansion of THERMOPHASE™ usage in the Power industry building on the over 10,000MW that has already applied THERMOPHASE™.
